Blackberry pearl 3G: smartphone launched in India priced at 20K approx.

The power packed Blackberry pearl 3G phone has finally been launched in India. The Blackberry Pearl is a new look phone that RIM has made to probably to shrug- off the image of making big and bulky phones. This one is slim and sexy and extremely business class. The dimensions of the phone read 108 x 50 mm; it weighs only around 93 gms, and is only 13.2mm thick which can be considered as a feat achieved by the RIMM engineers who are so very good at making big and bulky phones.

But, if you were thinking that the reduced size would reduce the functionality in some way, then you have been gravely mistaken, and are surely about to be shocked. The phone comes with an optical track pad and a condensed QWERTY keypad built within
a numeric keypad. The phone is equipped with the Sure Type feature which learns the words that we type and makes typing easier. The phone comes packed with a 3.2 MP camera and excellent video recording capabilities with auto focus features, the WIFI and 3G capabilities of the phone makes it an excellent network and internet device. Plus the BBM or the Black berry messenger comes as pre-installed support for the phone and you can also download a lot of third party apps from the Blackberry app store which has been ever growing in number. Blackberry’s Pearl 9100 can also be used for social networking and multi-tasking at varied levels with the traditional Blackberry's messaging and email facilities. The Sure type technology is the best feature replacing the Qwerty keyboard which had outlived itself. The features of the Blackberry pearl and its new looks are strategically placed with the price tag of around 20k which is sure to attract the Indian customers and make big in the existing market. With the shedding of the bulky look the blackberry is sure to win hearts of more and more Indian customers and share a piece of the market pie. Blackberry Bold 9700 in India at price Rs. 31900 with attractive features

Recently we saw a large number of dual SIM cheap handsets targeted towards Rural India and majority mass. It is high time since we came across any high budget business smart phone. Research In Motion (RIM) the makers of Blackberry smartphones today announced the launch of the BlackBerry Bold 9700 with scintillating looks and amazing features. Blackberry Bold 9700 is available in India at price of Rs. 31900. The new Bold 9700 has all the basic ingredients of original black model with new whitish finish to its exterior casing.

The Blackberry Bold 9700 smartphone is 3G enabled and also boasts of its connectivity options with WiFi, Bluetooth and USB 2.0 being present. However, it lacks infrared port, which has become obsolete these days. Besides its connectivity issues, it sports 3.2 MP camera which comes with 2048 x 1536 pixel. In addition, it has autofocus, LED flash and Image stabilization to give decent image quality. However, I am slightly disappointed with its 3.2 MP camera, given its price tag of Rs. 31500. The likes of Xperia and Satio smartphones have 8MP and 12MP respectively within that price range.
The Blackberry Bold 9700 uses the Blackberry OSv5 as its operating system and comes with a nice processing speed of 624 MHz. Thus you can easily watch videos, or access internet without much of a lag. Its multimedia options are also up to the mark with its music player being capable to support nearly all media formats.

In Blackberry Bold 9700 multimedia features, it allows to sync music files, in the handset with user's PC or laptop files , 256MB of inbuilt memory which can be expanded with micro SD card.Blackberry Bold 9700 comes with a powerful 1500mAh Li-Ion battery which claims to provide up to 6 hours of talk time and 16 days of standby time. Its good battery option can let you watch movies flawlessly for a longer period.

So it would be worth to buy this 3G enabled smartphone, however the majority of the mass can not afford it.
