Delay in Launch of Acer Iconia Tab


According to Engadget, it was reported that there would be a delay in the launching of the 7-inch Acer Iconia Tab A100. This media tablet will now be available in the market in the later part of 2011.
On Tuesday, the website reported: "We've just been informed by the company that it’s [Google Android] Honeycomb-sporting, [Nvidia] Tegra 2-powered slate will not be arriving, as had been expected, right around now”.
It was reported that Acer already has launched its two tablets A500 and W500 as per schedule. Both of these tablets are available in market or via internet.
It was found that the first Android 3.0 Honeycomb devices are available in New Zealand. The Acer Iconia A500 tablet weighs only 750g, measuring 26cm x 17.5cm and boasting of a 10.1" touch screen with 800 x 1280 pixels. It is available with the storage capacity of 32GB with one GB RAM and it is based on a NVIDIA Tegra 2 platform running at 1GHz. It also has some preloaded games like NFS Shift. Games like NFS Shift can be played just by tilting of the tablet as it consists of a gyrometer.
It is expected that by the end of this year Android will acquire the market leaving behind various OS for cell phones and tablets.

Acer’s Liquid E smartphone had debuted in February this year. Well, the handset now gets a luxurious sibling. Acer recently announced the Liquid E Ferrari special edition which it claims is one of the most exclusive smartphones in the world. Tailored for users looking for perfection and sophistication, the phone is based on Android 2.1.

Bundled with many new technologies and exclusive features, the phone’s appearance keeps in mind the ‘Ferrari’ brand attached to it. Symbolizing passion, at least the handset’s bright red hue suggests so. The company says users can look forward to superior performance akin super fast racing cars.

Boasting of an eye catching design, this smartphone flaunts a glossy red casing with chrome trim. Including a 3.5” hi- resolution capacitive touch screen, the backside of the handset reveals the legendary ‘Scuderia Ferrari’ with a carbon fibre detailing. The microphone recalls the ‘air intake inlet’ giving it a powerful look to keep it in pole position. The user interface of this phone is also said to be completely customized.

Fans of the Rossa can anticpate the excitement of the Gran Premio right at their fingertips while the 5-page homepage lights up by the Ferrari wallpaper. This should let users dive deep into the Formula 1 world. Besides this phone, Acer also introduced a new headset that bears the Ferrari brand name. In a compact fabrication, the earphone will fit any ear and houses a range of enhanced technologies for complete reception. Fashioned to keep external sounds away, it proffers superior clarity while also canceling echos and regulating the volume automatically.

A stylish Ferrari case has additionally been revealed for protection of the phone. Outfitted from high-quality material, the casing should keep the phone safe from shocks and dust.
